Stefan Baumann
Whilst looking at images similar to my own work, I have came across a photographer called Stefan Baumann. His images show nature reclaiming buildings, this correlates with my work, showing the way nature can have a dramatic impact on something humans create. I would like to explore this idea of nature almost reclaiming my work.

Alma Kerpauskiene
Alma has created this image by carefully composing her shot using mirroring techniques, Alma Kerpauskiene transforms these flowers into a beautiful abstract images. I am intrigued by her use of a almost vignetting effect on her images. This is something I could look at whilst trying to add a dream like quality to my images
Week 5
The look of my images are simple in content but very complex in process. There is always a very strong contextual language within my images; the images are there to be explored artistically and intellectually. The images are in the form of high key studio still life photography or darkroom processes such as photograms. This type of way of image making gives me more creative control when creating an image as I am able to physically control the light and subject. I am working w

Bringing a new element to my work.
This image that I thought was at its final development, has been lifted and given such more presence with the added context of the flower paper. The image makes you think more of the reason for the flower in the middle of the frame, also brings an element of disablement of the flowers form that wasn't present in the original image. I also like the way I dont have control of where the petals fall on my image, it almost lifts the fact that even though my image is so controlled

Mario Moreno
This picture may look like pencil or charcoal drawings, but they are photographs. Mario Moreno, a Spanish photographer based in South Africa, uses Photoshop to create "high-key" effect. Mario explains: "My approach to this project was to show wildlife in an artistic way. I thought to myself that there are plenty of photographers documenting them normally, so I processed them on computers to achieve an image that makes the animal the sole focus and not its surroundings." Media Magica 5 - The Ambiguous Image And Space.
Whilst watching this film I have thought a lot more about the effect on our perceptive mind when given information, The film looks at ways of creating special illusions through ambiguous images, perspective theatres, folding peepshows and from the 19th century, the stereoscope, which look forward to today’s holography. It goes one to look at how ones perception of an image is based on the circumstance of that person, a highly educated member of the public may not see informat

Henry Hargreaves
whilst looking for photographers for inspiration I cam across this photographer ( Henry Hargreaves). I found his compositions to be rather mundane and uninspiring, I took the time to look through a large body of work, as we are working in the same ( still life, wildlife, metamodernisum) field. He has a rather unrefined way of working with colour, the images look over saturated and rushed compositionally. This has made me very wary of working with colour in a simple compositio

Simpatico
Finally, in this image I have managed to create an image that shows the whole image in a defined and harmonious way. The image has the correct amount of colour, so the image isn't tainted and distracted. The colour works to lift the image and drawn even more focus on main subject and elements within the whole composition. The use of a textured paper laced with bee hive pieces and flowers has bought a new element to this work that can show another element of how we recall drea
Week 4;The ambiguous image.
Research I have researched a study that was done in 2005 on the effect of bilingualism on reversing ambiguous figures. the test subjects were children all around the age of six. In the study, researchers found that the bilingual children had an easier and quicker time on finding the "other" figure in the picture, whereas the monolingual children had a hard time finding anything other than what they originally saw. Reasoning for these findings is linked to the perception of th

Development of colour
In this image I have used the same paper as my previous image but I have brushed the paper with water to show the flowers colour more clearly. I am pleased with the effect of the introduction of a more vivid colour, this introduction of colour reminds me of work by Jerry Uelsmann, but as with his work I feel the contrast of subjects is something that is working against each other rather than working in harmony. The amount of flower showing in this image is far too much, In ne
